Refunds and Returns Policy

Our Approach to
Refunds and Exceptions

At The ALTAR (Academy for Learning Technology & Arts to share Rhema), we aim to provide ministry-centered learning experiences with clarity, excellence, and stewardship. While we design our offerings to meet your expectations, we recognize there may be rare situations requiring refund consideration.

This Refunds and Returns Policy explains how we evaluate such requests. By purchasing a course, subscription, or digital product, you agree to be bound by our Terms of Service and this Refunds and Returns Policy.

General Position on Refunds

  • Unless stated otherwise, all purchases are considered final and non-refundable.

  • However, in certain circumstances, refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Decisions are made in good faith, aligned with our mission, and at the sole discretion of The ALTAR.

Refund Policies
by Product Type

a. Instructor-Led Courses

  • Refunds may be considered if requested before attending any live session and before accessing any course materials (e.g., downloadable resources, videos, or internal group spaces).

  • No refunds will be granted once a session is attended or any content is accessed.

  • If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact us within 72 hours of payment.

 

b. Self-Paced (Pre-Recorded) Courses

  • Refunds are not applicable once you have accessed or downloaded any portion of the course.

  • Requests submitted within 72 hours of purchase may be considered if no content has been accessed.

 

c. Digital Downloads (Templates, Notes, Media Kits)

  • Digital products are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.

  • If you face technical issues accessing the file, please reach out and we will assist.

 

d. Subscriptions

Monthly Subscriptions

  • Refund requests may be submitted within 72 hours of subscription or renewal.

  • Eligibility depends on whether content has been accessed. If so, users must provide clear evidence that content did not match what was advertised.

  • Refunds will not be granted for access that has already occurred unless content was demonstrably misrepresented.

 

Annual Subscriptions

  • Refunds may be requested within 15 calendar days of subscription renewal only if no content has been accessed or downloaded.

  • Accessing any portion of the course or content voids eligibility for a refund.

  • Users are responsible for managing and canceling subscriptions prior to renewal.

Refund Process and Timelines

To request a refund, email refunds@thealtarmediacompany.com with:

  • Your full name and registered email

  • The course or subscription in question

  • Date of purchase or renewal

  • Reason for refund request

 

We will:

  • Review your request and respond within 10 business days

  • Process approved refunds within 7–14 business days (bank delays not included)

Non-Refundable Situations

We are unable to grant refunds under the following conditions:

  • Courses (live or self-paced) have already been accessed or attended

  • Digital downloads have been opened or downloaded

  • Subscription refund windows have passed

  • Course content was accessed and later deemed unsatisfactory without evidence of misrepresentation

  • User-side issues (e.g., forgotten password, inability to attend, changed plans)

  • Violation of our Terms of Service, including sharing account credentials, group viewing, or unauthorized content distribution

  • Refunds for group bookings will be governed by the specific terms agreed upon at the time of booking. Any misuse, including sharing login access beyond the approved group, may lead to suspension or revocation of access without refund.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
